Sloppy Joe

Lunch, Dinner


class="p1">2 lbs. grass fed ground beef (may add or substitute up to 1/2 lb. of ground beef liver )

class="p1">2 tbs coconut oil or pastured pork lard

class="p1">1 cup chopped white onion

class="p1">1 cup chopped green bell pepper

class="p1">1 tsp minced garlic

class="p1">1 15 oz can petite diced tomatoes

class="p1">1 6 oz can tomato paste

class="p1">1 tbs chili powder

class="p1">1 tbs Worcestershire sauce

class="p1">1 tbs yellow mustard

class="p1">1 tbs ketchup


In large skillet melt the oil or lard then brown the meat. Add onions, peppers and garlic then cook until onions are translucent. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 10 to 15 min until desired consistency is reached. May serve on lettuce leafs, roasted butternut squash bowls or as is.
